If you do:

#ls /dev/dsk

What what do you see? Can you post that here?

How many drives are connected to the LSI card? How many logical volumes did
you create?

I use and LSI 9280-16i4e card, and use the mr_sas driver.

When I first setup the machine, I was unable to see the drives in the OS as
well. I had never setup any logical drives at the controller level. As soon
as I did, I was able to pick them up in the OS.

In the end, I wound up creating 16 Logical volumes, 1 for each drive basically.
This gave me the ability to use the drive and controller write caching and
still get the most functionality out of ZFS and most flexibility for creating
pools.

Post back and I will see if I can help.
