Hi, I've lived hayy for 3 years with an Acer Ferrari 5000, and is about to buy a new laptop for my opensolaris/openindiana/... based laptop.
It is difficult to choose.. I'm looking at a Lenovo 510, and wonders if anyone else have any experience with it, or at least have live-cd-booted it to see if any drivers are missing. I dont care about the camera, but I would at least like to have both wired/wireless network to work (with wpa) and good "support" for the Nvidia graphics. (+sound, of course) Spec from Lenovo.com: I want the 510, because I like 15.6" screens Intel Core i7-620M Processor (2.66GHz, 4MB L3, 1066MHz FSB) 15.6" FHD Display (95% Gamut, 270nit) with LED Backlight NVIDIA NVS 3100m Optimus Graphics with 512MB DDR3 Memory 8 GB PC3-10600 DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz SODIMM Memory (2 DIMM) at 1066MHz fingerprint reader: none Camera: 2.0MP (not important - at all) Wireless: This is what I can choose from: ThinkPad bgn Wireless Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000 [$0.00] Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 (2x2 AGN) Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 (3x3 AGN) Intel Centrino Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250 Wired: It does not say anythicn about what chipset that is installed... If anyone know anything about it, please answer... -mnespen -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list opensolaris-help@opensolaris.org
