Luckily, OpenSolaris "gets it" when you keep the power-on button pressed for 
more than a couple of seconds (it's a clean power- off, not the "pull the cable 
out" type of shutdown). Unfortunately, this problem is semi- solved by a 
workaround: power off and then on next logon disable Power Management.
Mundane issues like this on bare metal install show areas where OSol definitely 
needs improvements. While working spotlessly as a virtual machine, same cannot 
be said for a "real" installation.
