Does startx give any error messages? Are there any errors in /var/log/Xorg.0.log? Which version are you trying to run? 2009.06 is pretty old, and won't support all the latest graphics cards, though if I remember correctly, it is new enough to have the boot menu option to force VESA mode instead - have you tried that? > If I can't get the GNOME desktop running how would I install it using the command line? Use the text install CD instead - the LiveCD only includes the GUI installer. -- -Alan Coopersmith- alan.coopersm...@oracle.com Oracle Solaris Platform Engineering: X Window System _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list opensolaris-help@opensolaris.org
