Just in case anybody ever digs up this thread in the archives... Here's the resolution: About the same time I posted this message to this mailing list, I logged into Oracle Support, and posted a similar question in the community forums. Apparently oracle employees prowl the forums. ;-) One of them directed me to document # 1288579.1 This document contains complete instructions for how to register and stuff like that. After attempting to register, I got a java puke all over my console. But after that, I was able to successfully search for and apply patches. It's too bad the process is so ugly. But it'll probably be better in the next release.... (here's hoping.) It's ironic that I get a better response from the community forums than from the official service request... But hey. _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list opensolaris-help@opensolaris.org
