I don't quite know how to describe it better ... whenever I play music on my
lenovo T60p (opensolaris 2008.11 and oss v4.0-1015), the music itself is quite
fine, but it sounds as if a helicopter were passing by somewhere in the middle
distance - it's not very loud, but audible. In fact, I think the volume of this
disturbance seems to be directly related to the volume of what I'm listening
to, because when the music gets quieter, so does the noise.

has anybody come across this before, and what did you do to fix it (other than
get a Mac)?
