Thanks for the links, that's very interesting.

It seems that some people do not have a complete clear understanding  
of how OSS and JACK are interacting (the discussion about porting  
Ardour for instance...). Basically jackdmp is now the code base for  
the future jack2 version (http://trac.jackaudio.org/) and having it  
running on Solaris will definitively help getting more heavy audio  
applications be ported on the platform.
