I've submittet a small patch to have pulseaudio load the module-rtp-send with IP_MULTICAST on Solaris.
There is still some work to do on how multicast is setup correctly on OpenSolaris (jump in if you know how to do this). This enables playing audio as multicast to your local LAN, e.g. with "mpd" via "pulseaudio" to multiple clients with pulseaudio (Solaris, Linux, Windows (pulseaudio.exe), others) on the LAN, almost perfectly in sync.
