Good News, The latest Linux Skype (Skype 1.4.0.118-oss) has a version that works on linux brandz with sound. I have only so far tested it on Centos 3.8 (Linux Kernel 2.4). Sound does seem to have a slight latency problem though :( One interesting solution is maybe to directly use any underlying oss solaris drivers, rather the convert from Linux oss -> sun audio -> Solaris oss.
