Most of the audio applications attempt to run at 48000 Hz. If you look at the
previous posts against audio810 with ICH4 AC'97, the hardware cannot run that
fast! It misses by about 0.16%. The software should use a rate of 44100 Hz!
When I use the utilities audiorecord or soX rec, I set the sampling rate to
44100, and all software runs perfectly forever. (At least until I get bored and
go to bed!)
