Only time I've seen stuff like this was during GPU overheating, usually when a fan fails. It wasn't quite like this, however. More random data rather than rearranged data. But maybe a Mac handles it differently. And maybe it's not overheating at all. First thing I'd do, however, was check temperatures and make sure you don't have a cooling failure somewhere.
