I didn't mean add something that would allow editing in an external program. It is bad enough on older machines to run SL alone. and opening multiple programs is not enough. Perhaps tool tips are a bit out of the way i agree with others that the tooltip can sometimes be annoying. but instead maybe a drop down list at the position of the cursor that allows you to pick a function and autocomplete it? and what about user functions? string foo(list in,integer index) or something. when you use it it should pop up in the drop down list as well. the drop down should not be limited to the LL preset functions. real editors do not restrain you to only the preset functions.
