Yes, it was the point of the task and it works this way - you can see the list of your favorites in login screen if you allowed them to be shown beforehand (while being logged in). You can't change the preference before login because viewer wouldn't know whose preferences to change in this case, and even if it could it would be bad from privacy perspective.
