The version of config.guess shipped with the 6.9 SNAP is out of date
Latest version (2015-03-04) can be obtained from:
http://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=config.git;a=blob_plain;f=config.guess;hb=HEAD
Bundled version is dated 2012-12-23.
This means that configure fails on ppc64le running Linux for example.
