It turns out, it is a long-standing Solaris kernel bug. It only pertains to the one particular speed (57600 baud), other rates (such as 115200, 230400 and 460800) work fine, provided that the HW device supports it. I have a verified fix ready for this. We will fix it eventually in Solaris.
