Hi, I don't know whether this is serious or not, but compiling openssl-0.9.6 with gcc on DEC Unix alpha machines with the "no-asm" configure option will cause all the DES tests to fail. Additionally (and maybe related), lots of "unaligned access" warnings are generated, apparently most from fcrypt_body().
