Is there any effort to incorporate a change that would allow the use
of the BSAFE toolkit in conjunction with the OPENSSL code. I have
looked at Gordon Chaffee's patches. They fix SSLeay 0.9.0b to
run with BSAFE. However, his patch will not work with the
latest OPENSSL code.
Why would one want to do this? To ship SSL in the US and support
RSA public key, you have to have a license for the RSA public key
stuff. The BSAFE toolkit gives that. However, as the OPENSSL
code improves, I would like to keep that for a code base and not have
to stay with the older code.
So, the question: Is anyone working on modifying the OPENSSL code
so that it could use the BSAFE toolkit for the RSA Public key portion
of the negotiation?
Thanks,
John Murray
