good afternoon gentlemen:

I am trying to build your openssl software on a Sco openserver 5 box, and have had a few difficulties... I am not very well versed in the ways of SCO unix, so any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

the problem is as this.... during the "make" command i get the following error

making all in crypto...
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/local/etc/OpenSSL/openssl-0.9.4/crypto'
( echo "#ifndef MK1MF_BUILD"; \
echo "  /* auto-generated by crypto/Makefile.ssl for crypto/cversion.c */"; \
echo "  #define CFLAGS \"gcc -O3 -fomit-frame-pointer\""; \
echo "  #define PLATFORM \"sco5-gcc\""; \
echo "  #define DATE \"`date`\""; \
echo "#endif" ) >buildinf.h
gcc -I. -I../include -O3 -fomit-frame-pointer   -c cryptlib.c -o cryptlib.o
gcc: installation problem, cannot exec `as': No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [cryptlib.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/etc/OpenSSL/openssl-0.9.4/crypto'
make: *** [all] Error 1

please help if you can....

thank you for your time.
