About the HTTPS

Someone could tell me where can I find the document about the HTTPS, so thanks. There is one question, some days I've been puzzled by that, in a SSL connection between a client(browser) and a server(Web server), how the HTTP and SSL work together? Is the data last transported composed of (((data)+HTTP)+SSL) or (((data)+SSL)+HTTP)? This question just is that the outside layer of the data transported on twisted-pair  is SSL or HTTP.   Regards.               Jerry Gu             1999/11/23
