Hi,

 I'm reporting a problem that I'm getting on Linux OpenSSL that is occurring
after the ./config when I run make.

the ./config command I executed is as follows:

./config --prefix=/home2/webtribune/tools/ssl --openssldir=/home2/webtribune/too
ls/ssl/openssl

This seemed to run fine.

Then I typed make and here's what I'm getting:

pegasus:/home2/webtribune/temp/openssl-0.9.4$ make
makefile:183: *** missing separator.  Stop.

config -t  --> produces

Operating system: i686-whatever-linux2
Configuring for linux-elf
/usr/local/bin/perl ./Configure linux-elf

I looked at line 183 of the makefile but I really don't know what is
causing the "missing separator" error.

any suggestions?

Thanks,
Tim Wolf

Below is the output (at least a good share of the output from the ./config)
