i got the fix myself.
acutally the dll's specified in the system path were being used and they
were 0.9.4 dlls and libs that didnt have ASN_INTEGER_cmp symobls in their
tables.
sorry to have unduly bothered you. I should have gotten down to the source
myself
before posting.
