sir,
iam unable to install the openssl-0.9.5a.tar.gz in the
Linux operating system.
I downloaded the file and placed on windows desk top.
Later i send that file using "ftp" into the directory
"/home/ssl" of my linux system. Here ssl is the
directory that i have created.
Then i unzipped that file using the linux command:
$gunzip -r -c openssl-0.9.5a.tar.gz|tar vxf -
When this command is executed ,a directory called
"openssl-0.9.5a" is created and iam gretting the
following messages:
1)gunzip:openssl-0.9.5a.tar.gz:invalid compressed
data--crc error
2)tar: error exit delayed from previous errors
Later i executed the command :$make
When this command is executed iam getting the
following message.The message is:
make: *** No targets. stop
Now iam requesting you to tell me how to install.
If i want to install again i have to remove that
"openssl-0.9.5a".
I tried to remove it by using $rm -r openssl-0.9.5a
but it is saying that that directory is in write
protected mode.
And now tell me how to uninstall it .
Once it is uninstalled i try to install it again.
Waiting for your reply.....
Thanking you sir
yours faithfully
Radhakrishna
