From: Gao Yuhang <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> yhgao> Does anyone knows how to change the EVP tags? Or is there a conf yhgao> file to do this dynamically? The fact is that I want to change yhgao> the cert request's tag. Many CA's now accept "-------BEGIN NEW yhgao> CERTIFICATE REQUEST-------------" and "----------END NEW yhgao> CERTIFICATE REQUEST------------". My users often forget to add yhgao> the new when submiting there requests, which gives me much yhgao> trouble. So, I thinks I'd better change it for good, but where? "-----BEGIN NEW CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----" and "-----END NEW CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----" are the old strings. The newer strings are "-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----" and "-----END CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----". At least according to OpenSSL source, where the first variant is defined according the the macro PEM_STRING_X509_REQ_OLD. BTW, is there a source (and RFC or something) for the correct definition of those header strings? I've had people ask me, and I've found it hard to spot the authoritative document... -- Richard Levitte \ Spannvgen 38, II \ [EMAIL PROTECTED] Chairman@Stacken \ S-168 35 BROMMA \ T: +46-8-26 52 47 Redakteur@Stacken \ SWEDEN \ or +46-709-50 36 10 Procurator Odiosus Ex Infernis -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] Member of the OpenSSL development team: http://www.openssl.org/ Software Engineer, Celo Communications: http://www.celocom.com/ Unsolicited commercial email is subject to an archival fee of $400.
