RH6.0 Make Help

Can anyone offer any compilation tips for Linux RH 6.0?  I'm using linux-elf config option, and have failed every time, even with with no-asm & 386 as options.   I've been trying to compile OpenSSL 0.9.5a and 0.9.5.   Attached testlog FWIW
