After downloading the new snapshot yesterday, hacking the code to get it to
build without copyrighted ciphers (as reported earlier), and hacking the
deadlock issue (also reported earlier), I finally got things to run OK
again, with one exception.

I can't establish an Authenticated connection any more. I can get
non-authenticated connections to run just fine. I can't get either side to
authenticate, though. I'm using the default verification routine, so I'm
accepting whatever recommendation OpenSSL makes about Accepting or Rejecting
a certificate. It always says "reject it". I don't know why.

I thought perhaps my old certificates didn't work with the new code, so I
tried generating all new keys and certificates, and that didn't work either.
I rebuilt OpenSSL with all the ciphers back in, tried both the old and new
certificates again, and still nothing.

I can't get any of this to work.

Any ideas what happened? Did OpenSSL break, or am I in the weeds?

Also, is there a fix yet for the build problems that I reported earlier?

As usual, thanks for all the help, and I appreciate any help on this issue.
