According to the output you kindly forwarded, it seems that the random
number generator has not been seeded properly. OpenSSL is simply polite
enough to disallow key generation in the absence of what it considers
ample entropy.
The quick and dirty way around this is probably to follow the
suggestions and set $RANDFILE containing suitably random data.
