Are there any plans to roll in the patches that allow OpenSSL to be compiled using the RSA BSAFE libraries in place of the encryption algorithms that come with OpenSSL? There are two, independent patches that work; one exists at http://www.lymeware.com/download.html and the other at http://jazz.external.hp.com/src/openssl. I realize those in the international community probably do not care whether OpenSSL can work with BSAFE or not; unfortunately, I am mandated to use RSA's BSAFE libaries not because of patent restrictions, but because the codes have been vetted by the NIST/NSA. It would really be helpful to those in my situation, or even those who want to run RSA's version of the algorithms, to be able to do so straight out of the box. On a side note, I have successfully embedded RSA's BSAFE into OpenSSL using the lymeware patch, and then compiled that into the nsopenssl modules for AOLserver and it works! (see http://scottg.net/aolserver, right column, Development section for more info). thanks, /s. ______________________________________________________________________ OpenSSL Project http://www.openssl.org Development Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] Automated List Manager [EMAIL PROTECTED]
