You really should disable your autoresponder until you can fix it. It
can't possibly be serving any purpose considering that it doesn't even tell
you which email address triggered the autoresponse. If it were serving any
useful purpose, you could make an argument that it's sensible to leave it
running until it can be fixed, but since it serves no useful purpose at all
and is causing problems, it should be disabled until it can be fixed.

    Again, it has at least the following problems:

    1) No rate limiting.

    2) It responds to itself.

    3) It responds to bulk and low-priority email.

    4) It provides no useful information (headers, at least) about the email
that triggered the problem.

    The UNIX 'vacation' program has been around for more than a decade.
There's no excuse for any current software to have these defects.
