We have ported OpenSSL to NetWare and are willing to submit that code to the source base. In fact, a couple of months ago a coworker submitted the following email:

I have a NetWare 5x port of OpenSSL.  I completed the work a few months ago using the 0.9.6a code base.  I would like to contribute the work back to the OpenSSL project but I'm not sure what is the best method to do this.

In doing the port, I created a NetWare directory for platform specific files similar to the VMS, MacOS, and MS ports.  The README indicates patches should be submitted using "diff -u" which I can do if this is the best way.

Let me know if you would like the work and how you would like it submitted.  I realize the 0.9.6a code base isn't the latest and I'm willing to update to the latest (0.9.6b?) before submitting the port.

He received no response. The big question is: if we submit a patch to OpenSSL to add NetWare support, will it be accepted? Is anyone else interested in this work?

Thanks for your interest.

[Yaniv Alamaru]  Hi,
I am interested in a porting of open ssl for NetWare. My company works on a
system which is composed of several components on different machines which
has to talk to each other in a secure way and open ssl is the solution for
us. The system can work on Windows, Solaris and Netware platforms but future
development will enable us to support other platforms as well.
The open ssl works on windows and Solaris but I did not started yet on
porting the open ssl for Netware. If you have a project ready for
compilation (Like a code warrior project) or a static library or an nlm,
please send it to me.

thanks in advance
