You may have noticed that this announcement, as well as the release of
0.9.6d-beta1, are (*ahem*) a bit late. There were technical reasons
for this, the openssl.org computer couldn't be reached since some time
in the late afternoon yesterday until just a few minutes ago.
I'm building the 0.9.6d-beta1 release right now, and it will be out in
about an hour, I expect.
