Actually, one can simply replace the code for 0.9.6 with the code from
the 0.9.7 tree and add the appropriate definitions to e_os.h.
That's all.

When the 0.9.7 PRNG extensions were complete, it was decided that
the change was too large to call it it a "bugfix", therefore it
was not backported to the 0.9.6 tree.
0.9.6 is dead and gone (at least from the development point of view),
we won't make any modification to 0.9.6d any longer, except for vital
bugfixes as long as beta is open.

All of our efforts will now go into getting 0.9.7 out of the door.
