Put two nics in. se one for transmissiona and the other for receiving. This will eliminate collisions. If that is not fast enouf then your next step is to look for a "better" interface. Options include 1000GB ethernet (fiber) and SCSI. Theoretically SCSI can run up to 160MB/sec (bursts) but you will probably have to write your own drivers. Last I followed up on this a group had it running but performace was terrible.
