Hi there, I have offered the following modifications in the OpenSSL user forum, and Lutz Jaenicke suggested that I submit the changes here. They are a number of modifications to the build process to reduce the size of the openssl libraries and of the openssl executable.
You find a README file in the attached tar file which explains the modifications in more detail. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the modifications. The diff file has been built based on openssl-0.9.7a.tar.gz as downloaded from the OpenSSL server.
