Hello,

I'm building openssl on multiple platforms, and noticed that it had no provision for --exec-prefix that some other software libraries have. The --exec-prefix is where the platform-specific files go, such as libs and bins, and the --prefix is where the independent things go like man pages and such.

I spent some time and created a patch against version 0.9.7b. It mods the Configure script and all the Makefile.ssl files, and lets you do "configure --prefix=foo --exec-prefix=foo/SunOS".

It's 37K, so I didn't mail it to the list - who is the appropriate person to review it for possible inclusion in the source tree? Please e-mail me if you are interested in the patch (or if it's okay to mail it to the list).

Thanks -
Russ Fink
