Questions like these are typical user questions, and should really be
posted on openssl-users rather than openssl-dev.

I assume you mean "byte", not "bit".  Did you look at the output?  It
may be that the output is really three lines, all ended with a \n.  If
I'm guessing right, you have two lines of 65 characters (including the
\n at the end) and one last line of 45 characters (including the
endine \n).  65*2 + 45 = 175.
