OK.  I gotta ask, is there an important issue that makes you not want
to use the "gnu-shared" target?  The "interix-gcc-shared" target is
just like it, except -Wl,-soname isn't used...  If Interix has a big
issu with sonames, I can understand.  Otherwise, I'd prefer if the
gnu-shared target got used, so we don't get an even larger bag of
shared library targets, looking almost the same...
