It's probably safe.

According to IEEE Std 1003.1-2001, struct tms and times() shall be declared. That's just about everything that the versions for current glibc and Solaris 9 do, except for some header inclusions.

I didn't manage to have a look at the AIX headers, and I don't know what IRIX does :-)
