Hi,

it's me once again.
I spoke to the gentoo package administrator for openssl (see attached emails)

He told me that this patch must be in the upstream openssl cvs.
Why is this patch not an official release or directly applied to the cvs?

err, just read your openssl-dev link :)

either way, it still isnt in upstream cvs, so it needs to go in there first

where did this patch come from ?  it isnt in the upstream openssl cvs and we
dont apply anything to openssl that isnt a patch from upstream

in other words, if this hasnt been sent upstream yet, this bug report should be
going here:
