Can you actually confirm that './config shared' works as well? I think that modification to Makefile.shared are likely to be required, as well as some extra flags in config line [such another -maix64]. If you don't [want to] know what this is about, then I'd suggest to remove aix-shared, so that shared build is not an option:-) A.
