Hi, openssl x509 has a an option -extensions, which depends on the config file, but it doesn´t have a -config option. Please add the -config option.
openssl ca does not have an -inform and -outform option yet. openssl ca delivers DER encoding with spkac request and PEM encoding with PKCS#10 requests, but this behaviour can´t be specified, and also isn´t documented. Having an -outform option to override the behaviour and the default values for spkac and pksc10 documented would be helpful. OpenSSL should automatically generate fresh secret keys upon installation, instead of distributing the same secret keys (SnakeOil) to everyone.
