Please test your versions of 0.9.7 and 0.9.8 with 'make test', and report your results. There are hard-coded test values in place, that are compared with the values generated by the software during the testing phase. If they don't match, then we have some idea of where the problem is.
Also, please paste in the output of 'uname -a' -- there are several CPUs that Solaris 2.9 runs on, and it may be one that the developers have not tested in a while. Thanks! -Kyle H On 3/1/07, Michael Smith <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Hello there, When I build apache with recent versions of openssl I am unable to reach the website using the Firefox web browser. The browser gives me the error '... received a message with incorrect Message Authentication Code. If the error occurs frequently, contact the website administrator'. I have tested this with several different versionf of openssl; openssl-0.9.6b works fine, but I get this error with 0.9.7 and 0.9.8 releases, including 0.9.8e. The platform I am running on is Solaris 2.9 and I'm using sun's cc compiler. Any suggestions on how to get round this problem would be gratefully appreciated. I'm afraid I'm not an openssl (or ssl) expert so don't really know how to approach it. Thank you Michael Smith
