I haven't seen this added to the development snapshots, so I'm
submitting a working Configure statement for Mac OS X x86_64 (64-bit) :

Shared build is likely to fail. Can you confirm if following works:

-dynamiclib:.\$(SHLIB_MAJOR).\$(SHLIB_MINOR).dylib",
for *both* './Configure darwin64-x86_64-cc' and './Configure
darwin64-x86_64-cc shared'. Then if not much trouble could you submit
output from 'sysctl -a' from x86_64 MacOSX system? A.
