It's most likely a compiler bug. Similar error was discussed several time in SPARC Solaris context, see http://rt.openssl.org/index.html?q=1281, which suggests that problem is present in both SPARC and x86 versions of compiler. > Such errors were never detected during the configuration of the same version > on Sun SPARC Solaris 10.
