[.VMS]openssl_utils.com defines a list of DCL symbols so that a user might say, for example, "version" instead of "openssl version". The program claims: Standard commands asn1parse ca ciphers cms crl crl2pkcs7 dgst dh dhparam dsa dsaparam ec ecparam enc engine errstr gendh gendsa genpkey genrsa nseq ocsp passwd pkcs12 pkcs7 pkcs8 pkey pkeyparam pkeyutl prime rand req rsa rsautl s_client s_server s_time sess_id smime speed spkac ts verify version x509 but the list (disordered, of course) in [.VMS]openssl_utils.com lacks many of these. The procedure in my recent kit was more complete. Personally, I wouldn't define these, but if there's any reason to define only some of them, then someone should document it. Despite an apparent name change, comments in [.VMS]openssl_utils.com refer to it as "APPS.COM". The VMS builders seem to put some files into the product installation "include" directory, jpake.h, md2.h, rc5.h, and store.h, which I didn't see on HP-UX. I assume that jpake.h involves some optional (experimental) stuff which the VMS builders enable by default, but I don't know about the others. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Steven M.
