Hi, The bug list server of openssl is very slow to access, so I am not sure if this bug has already been filed.
When using the routine ASN1_item_d2i, the pointer passed as the "in" variable gets modified in ASN1_item_ex_d2i (pval=0xffffaf94, in=0xffffafe8, len=0, it=0x98b58c4 <PKCS12_it>, tag=16, aclass=0, opt=0 '\000', ctx=0xffffaf98) at ../openssl/crypto/asn1/tasn_dec.c:509 This does not causes memory leaks if a high level function is called because the memory associated to the pointer passed as "in" is a copy of the data and therefore it can be modified. But I am not sure if it is the correct behavior. Thanks, Luis Enrique Garcia Member of the CSR plc group of companies.
