I recently moved my email account to the new OpenSSL infrastructure. With my previous account I had Thunderbird set up to do plain text only email. With my new account I had neglected to untick the "HTML" option. Thunderbird seems to automatically break long lines in the composition editor when using plaintext, but not with HTML. I suspect that's why I've never had the problem before. Signing this email to check its working ok!
