Hello, The Gentoo package for OpenSSL currently has a number of patches. The last OpenSSL 1.0.2a update took a bit longer due to that - patches had to be adjusted first.
I think most (if not all) of these patches should just be incorporated into OpenSSL itself, as they're not Gentoo-specific. Minor fixes, built system improvements etc. Most of them have been submitted to the openssl rt in the past, but got no reaction so far. What can we do to work on merging them? Would you prefer git pull requests?
