The small crypto section in the Sedgewick "Algorithms in {c|C++}" maybe?
It is just a glance but has ready-made code that allows you to tinker
about.
But, mind you, it is just one chapter in the book. It is a good book if
you
can overlook the errors in the code, but I would not buy it for the
crypto
chapter alone. I do own a private copy and one bought for me by my
employer
though, since I think that it is a good way to get basic 'wheels' when
you
cannot use ready made libraries or you have not done a basic algorithm
for a
couple of years and need to touch up.
