Several reasons:
1. I had yet to verify the problem on any platform except our production
server system, which, by needs is somewhat customised, and hence could be
causing difficulties.
2. As part of my usual drill with using open-source, I try and track down
bugs that occur as close as I can to help those developing the package.
Unfortunately we're on a tight schedule here, so I had yet to do the
analysis I wanted.
3. Because stunnel is (as far as I can tell) a fork-model application, I
am not yet confident it will have the performance necessary to support the
volume of traffic we expect.

The result of these 3 is that I have put finding a fast, working solution
at the top of my list (hence the mail to this list) and locating and
notifying developers about bugs second. My apologies if the email seemed
like I had simply dismissed your app because of the bug, I have every
intention of filing a bug report just as soon as I have time :)

Richard.
