Hi everybody,
I need to distribute to a huge number of user a serier of key pairs (with
.p12 files) for use with Netscape Messenger (4.5) in Windows 95/98. These
are the specs for an internal service of digital signing end e-mail.
One of the requests I had is that the users should not import the certs from
within Netscape (with security -> Yours -> import and so on); they want me
to develop some kind of small application (like a wizard) the users click on
and start the import process.
I think that interacting directly with Netscape's database is quite
difficult, but it may be the only option: did anybody face the problem and
developed something? Or can someone at least provide me with some
information on Netscape's database's internal format so that I can think of
putting the certs directly into the rigth place?
Another option may be something using Netscape's importing utility, but with
some kind of modification to make it definitly "fool proof" and as little
interactive as possible (thet's the key point for which I was requested to
find out something): any opinion or suggestion?

PS
With Outlook it's easyer, you just need to click on the .pfx file and click
yes and not here and there (difficult enaugh for some of my users anyway);
may there be some way to do it easily with Netscape???

Thanks,
